Ordering & Delivery
All prices quoted on our website are inclusive of VAT for the United Kingdom currently at 20%.
Prices shown do not include delivery. Delivery costs will be added on at the checkout.
We currently only offer delivery within the mainland UK, central Scotland, Scottish borders BT postcodes. For any information required for deliveries outside of the UK please contact us first.
Payment of the goods and delivery charges must be made in full before any dispatch of goods will take place.
We (the seller) reserve the right to amend the price and specification of any advertised item.
Pictures used on the website are for illustration purposes only. The packaged item may differ slightly.
We do not have a minimum order, so feel free to order as little or as much as you like.
We offer secure payment using PayPal and accept all major credit/debit cards (excluding American Express). Cheque payment or E-cheque can be used but goods will not be dispatched until cleared funds. This can take up to 14 days.
All our deliveries are sent on a next working day service where ever possible. We cannot accept responsibility for delivery delays due to third party couriers and delivery charges will not be refunded on any occasion.

Livestock orders are separate to any dry goods ordered therefore postage cannot be shared.
No free delivery is offered on livestock.
You must inspect the delivery and inform us of any damage within 4 hours of receipt. Please inform us by telephone or email (must contain a contact number) we will discuss what happens next, we may need photographic evidence.
Please do not sign for goods unless you are satisfied with the condition, if the packaging appears damaged please check the product before signing.
We do not accept returns on livestock. Please read through our information on livestock and call us if you are unsure of a purchase and its suitability for your aquarium.
Dry Good Purchases
If you wish to return an item this must be done within 14 days of receipt. We will issue a refund for the original amount within 14 days of receipt as long as the product fits with our return policy. You are responsible for the cost of return postage and we recommend proof of postage as we are not liable for any loss of the returned product.
Return Policy To be accepted back an item and its packaging must be in new and unused condition. Products returned with damage, damaged packaging or parts missing will not be accepted, and you will be required to pay for the return postage back to you. We reserve the right to reduce the amount of money refunded for goods returned which show evidence of use.
Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any loss or damage arising from transport which is out of our control.
If you are unsure please call us.
Should a product appear faulty please contact us first. Some products emit noise as part of their operating. If anything does not appear correct we will talk it through with you and contact the manufacturer if necessary to determine what to do. Should a product have to be returned under the manufacturer’s warranty you must contact us before sending and you may have to pay for the return postage.
Livestock delivery is via APC priority by 12am next day charged a flat rate of £14.95 per box irrespective of the amount ordered. Livestock orders are separate to any dry goods ordered therefore postage cannot be shared.
Delivery dates must be scheduled with Living Reef Aquatics, we do not send out any unannounced or unscheduled livestock.
We will normally contact you by telephone or email within 24-48hrs of the order being placed (please make sure that we have enough contact details for you) to discuss delivery dates.
Orders must ship within 2 weeks of the order date. If you cannot take delivery or your order within this 2 week window, after this time no refund can be offered but we can offer you a credit note to used within 6 months. Once the date has been accepted by you no cancellation will be possible.
We guarantee live arrival but with regards to personal time and expenses due to unforeseen delivery delays and consequences, the person/persons is responsible.
All deliveries and collections must be signed for. You must be there at the first attempt of delivery for any guarantee to stand.
All our corals are healed for a minimum of 2 weeks after cutting, occasionally a coral may be deemed to need more time to heal before shipping, so please allow 2-8 days after ordering. In this instance we will contact you and let you know.
Living Reef Aquatics are happy to work with you regarding a delivery day that fits in with your busy schedule. Living Reef Aquatics take great care of our prize corals. We only use a priority before 12 noon delivery service offered by APC Overnight.
The areas covered by this service are as below; if you are outside of this area such as Scottish Highlands please contact us before ordering and we can advise alternative times.

We normally only arrange delivery on the following days;
Monday for Tuesday, Tuesday for Wednesday, Wednesday for Thursday, Saturday delivery can be arranged but will incur further costs please call for a price before ordering.

Collect in Store – order your choices of corals and click collect. Living Reef Aquatics will still contact you by phone or email to agree a collection day. Our terms remain the same as regards to the 2 week window etc. This service will not incur any delivery charges.

Charges are as courier but the benefits are;
No overnight for your precious purchases. Time agreed for delivery with more flexibility. Corals can be checked and we can assist you with your acclimatisation and positioning in the aquarium. If you would like this service please contact us to check that your address falls within our delivered by us area.
Worried about the water conditions in your aquarium? Are your levels ok for the frags or corals that you want to purchase? Read our ‘aquarium school’ tips for advice or arrange water testing in our retail store in DA1. Outside of DA1 areas send us a water sample by post to;

Our corals are healthy and as described at the time of packing. What you see is what you get on all our frags or corals offered (WUSIWYG) unless stated that it is a stock picture and may vary, but, we cannot guarantee exact colour matches as computer monitors will vary. Lighting also plays a big part in the colour of corals, or their appearance to us. Our corals are kept under a mixture of Metal Halide, T5 and LED lighting. If you are unhappy with the results from your lighting we are more than happy to advice you.
Photographs are taken using a smart phone, Canon camera or Nikon camera. Photos will not be photo shopped or altered from their original apart from sizing.
Our corals are packed in thick plastic bags, polystyrene boxes with outer cardboard for added strength. Heat packs are added when the conditions necessitate. Our methods have ensured a 99% success rate.
Please follow our acclimatisation procedure, and ensure that you place the coral in a low position in the aquarium for one to two weeks before moving to allow it to acclimate to your lighting and conditions.
In the rare occasion that your coral or corals do not survive the journey you will receive a credit to be used for another order. The credit will be valid for 6 months. You must advice us of DOA corals within 4 hours of delivery! We may ask you to take a photograph of the dead coral in the bag as it arrived and in some rare circumstances we may ask for the skeleton to be returned to us before issuing the credit. There is no refund on shipping unless the courier has failed to deliver on time and has issued Living Reef Aquatics with a refund.
We do not accept returns on livestock.
When making a purchase of livestock it is assumed that the customer has intermediate to advanced reef keeping experience. Living Reef Aquatics are not responsible for errors in acclimation, care, such as, water chemistry, incorrect lighting, flow rates, temperature, incorrect salinity or aggression between species of coral.
